The University of the Punjab (PU), also referred to as Punjab University, is a public, research, coeducational higher education institution located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Punjab University is the oldest and largest public sector university in Pakistan. It was founded in 1882 as a college and became a university in 1919.
